The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest brings together some of the brightest acts from around Europe for one of the most colourful nights of the year. However, viewers from around the world, including in the United States, can vote for their favourite performers from the 26 participating nations.

Who votes in the Eurovision Song Contest?

While juries from different countries will have some say in who wins, fans watching on at home will also play a big role, with a 50-50 split between the two.

In 2024, the fan vote was awarded to Croatia’s Baby Lasange, who performed “Rim Tim Tagi Dim,” while the judges selected Switzerland’s Nemo. The success of the Swiss performer landed the country the role of host for this year’s event, which is being held in Basel.

Voting is allowed from the start of this year’s contest, which begins at 3 pm ET/12 pm PT. While only European-based enthusiasts were traditionally allowed to vote, the last three editions of the contest have opened the voting up to viewers all around the globe.

How can I vote in Eurovision 2025? Does it cost anything?

Each vote costs €0.99 ($1.11), which will be debited from a US bank card. When the results are announced, votes from the United States will count towards the “Rest of the World” vote, which was introduced in 2023. All votes received from non-participating countries outside Europe will be tallied up and added to the top 10 televotes from each participating country to form the viewers’ vote.
