Justin Bieber cancels remaining ‘Justice World Tour’ dates

The ‘Justice World Tour’ has been formally canceled after multiple postponements that began in 2020.

Update:
Afflicted Justin Bieber cancels world tour

Shocking fans around the world, Justin Bieber has officially canceled the remaining dates on his ‘Justice World Tour’ with no official reason given on Tuesday. The announcement was made via the Justice Tour Updates Twitter account.

The tour has been postponed multiple times since 2020, first because of the pandemic, then due to the singer’s poor health following his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome type 2 in 2022.

Multiple pandemic postponements

The ‘Justice World Tour’ was first announced in 2019, with Bieber teasing fans that something was going to happen on December 24 and 31, 2019, and January 3, 2020.

First, on December 24, the singer announced that his new album would be released sometime in 2020. On December 31, he released a trailer for ‘Justin Bieber: Seasons’, a YouTube docuseries about the singer, and on January 3 he announced the tour dates for the North American leg of the ‘Justice World Tour’.

But by April 1, 2020, the tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Bieber releasing the rescheduled dates for 2021. In April 2021, the tour was postponed again to 2022.

Opening acts Jaden Smith, Eddie Benjamin, ¿Téo?, and Harry Hudson were confirmed for North America, and 98 additional shows were scheduled in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and Asia.

Bieber’s health affecting his touring ability

On September 6, 2022, two days after performing the first show in Latin America at the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil, the singer announced that all remaining dates would be postponed with no official rescheduling.

“After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now,” Bieber said in a tweet.

“So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better.

Bieber shared with fans that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome type 2 in an Instagram reel in June 2022, where his face appeared partially paralyzed. Aside from facial paralysis, symptoms include hearing loss, ringing in the ears, vertigo, dry mouth and eyes.
