Despite being nominated in ten different categories this time, it seems the grand prize may elude him once again. With his tenth nomination for Best Director, Scorsese breaks several records. He has a second Oscar for directing 'The Departed' (a modest count given his extensive and illustrious career). At 81, he becomes the oldest director ever nominated for an Oscar.
