Kim Kardashian’s viral anti-ageing treatment with salmon semen
The businesswoman has revealed in ‘The Kardashians’ that she feels very satisfied with the results of her unusual treatment.
Much has been written about and speculated upon regarding the world of cosmetology. The scope of this discipline of health sciences covers an endless number of products that derive from substances from very unique origins in the natural world, meaning that eyebrows can indeed be raised, both literally and figuratively, when one dips their toe into what goes on behind the curtain of innovation.
Kim Kardashian is aware of this fact and, therefore, wanted to explain in detail why she is addicted to a treatment based on salmon sperm.
‘They injected me with salmon sperm all over my face’
This surprising revelation came in the most recent episode of her show, The Kardashians. The businesswoman and founder of Skims was chatting with her mother, Kris Jenner, when she confessed, following an explanation of how and why she would survive in the wild, the curious technique. “I had a facial treatment with salmon sperm. They injected me with salmon sperm all over my face,” said Kimberly, revealing that it also has a price of $500.
And Kim K is not the only person who has confessed to using this eye-watering technique. Jennifer Aniston revealed last year to The Wall Street Journal that she had also undergone the same treatment to make her skin brighter for months. The treatment is not a thing of the present either: its use has been a staple method in Asia for centuries, especially in South Korea and the truth is that, according to science, it has some merits. “It is proven “that the sperm fluid from salmon restores the elasticity of the skin, as well as repairs moisture barriers and helps minimize any inflammation,” states the National Library of Medicine.
This practice has been a success for Kim Kardashian, who guarantees that she will continue using it. This was not the case, however, with another famous method. “A few years ago, I heard about a ‘Vampire Facial’ and I was so intrigued,” she told her mother, referring to the use of micro-needles that use the blood of the person in question to rejuvenate their own skin.
But it was not as the businesswoman, who was pregnant at the time, expected. “It was very hard and painful for me. Honestly, it was the most painful thing in my life. It is the only treatment that I will not do again”, she affirmed, emphasising that she is fully aware of its properties and clarifying that her refusal does not imply the lack of effectiveness of the treatment: “I know that it has many benefits for the skin. Kourtney is a big fan and I know a lot of people who love it too.”
