LEGO celebrates the announcement of its set dedicated to the Spielberg classic Jaws with a short film that exudes style and quality.

LEGO’s work in recreating the most popular licenses from industries like film, sports, and video games is of an exceptionally high level. Under the ‘LEGO Ideas’ brand, the Danish company offers customers the opportunity to create the sets of their dreams from licenses that have not yet appeared in official products. One of the sets that have passed the latest selection is dedicated to Jaws, and the company is celebrating with a short film that exudes quality. You can watch it at the top of this article.

The video lasts just a minute and a half, but it’s enough time to encapsulate the humour and quality of the blocks when animated. It parodies the moment when the crew of the ORCA come under attack from the huge shark. Chief Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Sam Quint all aboard. The company did not create it by chance: it is the way they have announced a new set dedicated to the movie.

When does LEGO’s Jaws set go on sale in the US?

Simply named ‘Jaws’, for $149.99 at the official LEGO store you can acquire a well-detailed recreation of the scene where the shark attacks the boat. Here is that famous scene but kids beware, it’s a little scary for some.

It consists of 1,497 pieces in which both the boat and the animal are mounted on a rectangular base that you also need to construct. Upon completion, it forms a beautiful diorama that is fantastic for fans of Steven Spielberg’s classic.

You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on it: the Jaws set will go on sale next August 6th. Also, you won’t be able to purchase it just anywhere. LEGO has decided that it will only be available through its official website or at one of its physical stores. Major department stores like El Corte Inglés or online retailers like Amazon will not carry it.
