Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy breaks silence: ‘I will still love you for the rest of my life’
Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy speaks out on the singer’s passing: ‘I will continue to love you for the rest of my life.’
Two days after the death of Liam Payne, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, broke her silence to thank the love and kind words she had received and pay tribute to the former member of One Direction.
“Thank you for all the kind words and all the love you have been sending me. I have been completely lost,” she posted in an Instagram story on Friday. “Nothing about the last few days has felt real. I ask and pray that I am given the grace and space to navigate this privately,” she continued.
She later dedicated a message to Liam. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam,” she concluded her message.
Liam Payne died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to the forensic medical team of the Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina, the singer died immediately from the impact of the fall, which caused “multiple trauma and internal and external bleeding.”
Liam Payne and Cassidy's relationship
Payne and Cassidy were first linked in October 2022. The couple made their red carpet debut at the British Fashion Awards in December of that same year.
In March 2023, Cassidy accompanied Payne to the premiere of fellow One Direction member Louis Tomlinson's documentary All of Those Voices. Rumors of a breakup surfaced in May, but in June they were spotted together in Paris.
In October, Cassidy traveled to Argentina with Payne, staying with him for two weeks before flying to Florida. According to Cassidy, the couple only planned to visit Argentina for five days, but ended up staying two weeks, which is why she left the South American country days before the tragic death of the One Direction singer, who was 31 years old.
