Beyond the huge anticipation surrounding the game itself, the event will feature a lineup of artists set to make the night even more compelling.

Alongside Charlie Puth, Bad Bunny and Coco Jones, the composer Brandi Carlile will also take part. The 11-time GRAMMY winner is scheduled to perform America the Beautiful. For the widely respected folk and country icon, her wife is one of the most important pillars in her life.

Actress from Paddington

Her wife, Catherine Shepherd, is a British actress whose background all but pointed her toward that career path, given that her father is the actor Jack Shepherd. She has appeared in many projects, although her most recognizable roles have been in Paddington and Paddington 2, as well as in numerous television series.

Shepherd also worked as a coordinator at Paul McCartney’s foundation, where she met her future wife. She now collaborates with Brandi Carlile in managing the singer’s charity, the Looking Out Foundation. She also often enjoys singing with Carlile in informal jam sessions, even though they have yet to release a song together.

Presenting at the Grammys

The couple married in 2012 and have since started a family with two daughters, Evangeline and Elijah. Together with them, Catherine introduced her wife’s performance at the Grammy Awards: “I was lucky enough to marry her more than a decade ago. It means so much to me to be here tonight with our beautiful daughters by my side and to introduce, in our humble opinion, one of the greatest and most genuine artists and human beings on the planet.”
