Who is the mystery Hand assassin? Fans narrow it down to three real candidates
Four names initially surfaced, but one can be ruled out almost immediately: Elektra Natchios. If Elektra is returning to the MCU, all signs point to Élodie Yung reprising the role — especially since she’s been spotted in New York during filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. That makes a surprise Elektra cameo in Brand New Day highly unlikely.
That leaves three possibilities:
- Betsy Braddock — better known as Psylocke.A powerful mutant, yes, and mutants are slowly being seeded into the MCU. But her Hand‑related backstory — involving her mind being transferred into the body of a Japanese ninja through an experiment by the Mandarin — is so convoluted that it feels like a stretch for this movie.
- Scarlet Samurai — a lesser‑known character, essentially a variant of Silver Samurai.Possible, but not particularly compelling for a major reveal.
- Lady Bullseye — the most likely option.A Japanese woman who, after witnessing Bullseye slaughter her captors in the yakuza, becomes obsessed with his lethal precision. She adopts a quieter, more disciplined style and first appeared in Ed Brubaker’s Daredevil run. Given the Hand connection — and the MCU’s renewed focus on street‑level heroes — she fits perfectly.
Until Marvel confirms anything, she remains the “anonymous Hand leader”, but the clues point strongly toward Lady Bullseye.
