The category of Best Supporting Actress has five hopefuls vying for the award. They include Ariana Grande ‘Wicked’, Felicity Jones ‘The Brutalist’, Isabella Rossellini ‘Conclave’, Monica Barbaro ‘A Complete Unknown’, and Zoe Saldaña ‘Emilia Pérez’.

Which nominee is predicted to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2025?

The Spanish-language musical ‘Emilia Pérez’ made history this year by earning 13 Academy Award nominations but has also become embroiled in an online controversy. That put a cloud over the chances of one of the two frontrunners to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2025, Saldaña.

However, she took home the Screen Actors Guild award in the same category this past Sunday. She was up against the other 2025 Oscar frontrunner Grande at the SAG Awards as well as the dark horse to win best supporting actress Barbaro.

While that is what the people-in-the-know are talking about Rossellini and Jones have a fighting chance to go home with the golden statuette this evening according to other insiders.

We’ll just have to wait to see what the final decision is when the Oscars are handed out this evening.
