Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pushing to be part of ‘A-List Hollywood circuit’
The Sussexes look set to attend more Hollywood events as they strive to climb the A-list.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle must be doing something right in the eyes of Hollywood, as the notorious couple continue to make appearances among the industry’s A-list circuit. They’re also reportedly set to make appearances at more elite events in the near future.
Prince Harry and Meghan join elite celebs
The royal couple have already ingratiated themselves with the celebrity A-list scene, having bought a $14 million dollar home in the same elite Montecito, Los Angeles neighborhood where the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey reside.
Most recently there is speculation on whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the Met Gala on May 1 in New York, with the couple eyeing up several other future Hollywood parties.
Expect more Sussex appearances
Hosts of the Royally Us podcast, Christine Ross and Christina Garibaldi, assert that Prince Harry and Markle will likely be seen at more events like the Met Gala, as the couple is actively striving to secure a regular spot on the Hollywood circuit.
“It was definitely an A-List Hollywood guestlist,” Garibaldi commented. “I think that’s where Harry and Meghan want to find themselves — on that A-List Hollywood circuit.”
“I think this is the first of many times we’re going to see Harry and Meghan in these A-List circuits,” she continued. “I would keep an eye out on things like the Met Gala, the big red carpets this year, to see where they are going to find their place in the celebrity minefield.”
The Coronation vs the Met Gala
One way or another, their position is paying off, as the couple is reportedly considering attending the gala at the New York Metropolitan Museum, where Hollywood and the music industry’s biggest stars congregate alongside top athletes, politicians, and businesspeople for a night of shoulder-rubbing and haute couture fashion.
There’s also the question of whether or not the Sussexes will attend King Charles III’s Coronation on May 6, as the Royal Family make preparations for the big day. The gala falls just days before, on May 1.
The Sussexes have not publicly confirmed whether they will attend one event or the other. The theme of this year’s Met Gala is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, and in tribute to Lagerfeld, everyone must adhere to the strict dress code of wearing his designs.
The late Princess Diana, Prince Harry’s mother, attended the gala in 1996 where she famously wore a striking black Christian Dior dress and stole the show just three months after her divorce from Prince Charles.
