The response comes after Savannah Chrisley voiced her displeasure with the company on Instagram.

Southwest Airlines and Savannah Chrisley have differing views over what really happened after the actress was recently removed from a flight.

Chrisley slams Southwest

The ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ alum says she was set to fly from New York back to her home in Tennessee on Thursday, when an airline attendant refused to check her carry-on bag and threw her off the flight.

“Alright guys, so I officially know why everyone hates Southwest so much. I mean absolutely hates it — the worst thing in the entire world,” the 25-year-old said in a video posted to her Instagram stories.

“This man right here … um, awful,” she said while zooming in on an employee at her gate.

“I went to board my flight to get on and he told me that I had to check my bag. I was like, ‘Okay, if you wouldn’t mind, I’m gonna take my bag on the flight, see if I can’t make it fit and if not, I’ll check it.’”

The employee turned down that suggestion, with Chrisley claiming he called her an “unruly passenger”. A pilot came over after to calm the situation, and allegedly told the attendant to “calm down” and that he was going to find a solution.

“The Southwest attendant literally looked at the pilot — the man who is flying our plane and is responsible for our safety, the most important person in the airline — and said, ‘Stay out of it … ma’am you’re not flying on this flight’,” Chrisley added.

She later mentioned that she had called the attendant an ‘a**hole’, and that the attendant didn’t care that she had to get back to her 10-year-old niece, Chloe, who she recently got custody of.

Southwest responds to Chrisley’s claims

Southwest have since responded to the claims, telling Page Six that Chrisley was denied boarding on her original flight after she “repeatedly insulted several employees”, though she was booked on a “later flight the same day.”

They also added that she “arrived at the gate late in the boarding process and was asked to gate-check her bag due [to] the overhead bins being full and to avoid delaying the more than 100 passengers already onboard the aircraft.”

Southwest also noted that they are aware of her Instagram stories, and that they’ll be looking into the situation.
