Taylor Swift loses her title: She’s no longer the youngest self-made female billionaire
The singer-songwriter first joined the world’s billionaire list in 2023 and today, boasts a net worth of $1.6 billion, give or take a few dollars.

She works hard for the money but all of that hard graft has paid off for Taylor Swift - who today, is the wealthiest female signer on the planet, even if she is way down the order in 2,193rd place in the list of the world’s richest people.
Taylor Swift’s net worth in 2025
The 14-time Grammy-winner has spent the best part of two decades building her empire and amassing her fortunes, which according to Forbes, currently stands as a eye-watering $1.6 billion.
Taylor officially became a billionaire in October 2023 - much of that was down to the shrewd decision to re-record and re-release her back catalog in 2019 along with ticket, sponsorship and merchandise sales from her record-breaking Eras tour - a globe-trotting trek across five continents which raked in $1.2 billion in income.
She was declared the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire and the first musician to make Forbes’ billionaire ranking primarily based on royalties from her songs and touring.
Taylor Swift usurped by Lucy Guo
But Taylor, who turned 35 in December, no longer holds the title of being the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire. The new titleholder is American entrepreneur, engineer and social media influencer Lucy Guo, who is five years younger than the singer.
Guo co-founded data annotation company Scale AI with Alexandr Wang in 2016 when she was just 21. Despite leaving the company in 2018, she retains a 5% stake in Scale AI, which is currently valued at $25 billion. That puts her net worth at around $1.3 billion, ranking 2,599th overall and 64th in the 2024 list of America’s Self-Made Women.

The world’s youngest self-made female billionaires in 2025
- Lucy Guo (30) $1.25 billion
- Taylor Swift (35) $1.6 billion
- Daniela Amodei (37) $1.2 billion
- Melanie Perkins (37) $5.7 billion
- Rihanna (37) $1.4 billion

“I don’t really think about it much, it’s a bit wild. Too bad it’s all on paper haha,” responded Guo on hearing the news that she has usurped Taylor Swift and taken her crown.
Lucy is one of six self-made women billionaires under 40, but the only one to hit the magic milestone after leaving the company that made her rich.
