Taylor Swift responds to Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s engagement news
The ‘Midnights’ singer acknowledged the couple’s engagement after Brown quoted Swift’s song in the announcement post.
Taylor Swift approves of the intended union between Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, as the singing superstar took to Instagram to congratulate the couple — who used lyrics from Swift’s song to make the announcement.
Brown, the 19-year-old ‘Stranger Things’ actor, got engaged to Bongiovi, who is 20 years old and the son of Jon Bon Jovi, earlier this week. The couple were rumored to have been dating in June 2021, and confirmed their relationship in November of the same year.
Social media blows up
Brown shared the news in a social media post, a black-and-white image of the pair on the beach as she wore her new ring.
Swift liked the couples’ post announcing their engagement with lyrics from her song ‘Lover’ to commemorate the occasion.
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all,” Brown wrote in the caption.
Bongiovi just as excited
Bongiovi made a celebratory post as well, as he shared a video of the couple embracing — also on the beach, but from a different angle as his fiance’s photo.
“Forever,” Bongiovival wrote in the caption.
The news of Brown and Bongiovi’s engagement reverberated throughout their network of friends and family, and all around Hollywood. Many people shouted out to the couple in celebration of the engagement.
“Congrats guys xx,” former Extra host Mark Wright wrote.
“Ommmmggggg congratulations!!!!!!!!! @milliebobbybrown this is amazing,” Wright’s sister, Jessica Wright, wrote. “So so happy for you darling.”
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly Ramsay, wrote, “Congratulations!! Xx.”
The New Year’s post
Brown reflected on 2022 as the new year rolled around, posting a photo montage from the year, including several pictures with Bongiovi.
“Endlessly in love with the year I’ve had!” Brown enthused. “Grateful for my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life.”
“Here’s to another year with you and the wonderful people and animals around us let’s do it again but better!” she added.
Bongiovi responded with similar sentiments.
“Your year babe,” he wrote in the comments, “love you so much.”
