Update:

Taylor Swift fans have had to crack some difficult codes before, but these ones may have been a little more obvious, at least for the best musical detectives out there.

Involved in the apparent clue drop: the pop star’s online store, a couple of suspicious capital letters, and a very specific sale. And as the Swiftie theory goes, Taylor is going to announce something big at the 2025 American Music Awards.

What Taylor Swift clues could mean

The awards, critically known as the AMAs, take place on May 26. So let’s have a look at the details.

On Swift’s merch store homepage, the first letters of the menu items - Apparel, Music, Accessories, Sale – just happen to spell out the aforementioned acronym. That’s not even subtle, right? And fans know Swift rarely lets anything on her official platforms happen by accident.

Then there’s the number play. The store is offering 12 items for 26% off. That alone might not raise eyebrows, but this is Taylor Swift. Her next album, if it’s a new one, would be her 12th studio LP. And the relationship with the AMAs? Remember, they air on May 26.

Coincidence?

Well, then there was this... a recent post by Taylor Nation, her official fan engagement arm. They shared a fan’s call to vote in the AMAs with a strange caption: “And our town, it looks so sMall from wAy up here. Screamed, ‘vote for the chairman’ at the night sky!” [sic]

A random line? Hardly. Swifties quickly pieced together the oddly capitalized letters: S, M, A, A. rearranged to make AMAs.

So, all eyes now turn to the awards, knowing fine well that something is coming.
