These are the most exciting exclusive releases for Record Store Day 2025: Taylor Swift and Oasis release limited vinyl

For millions of music lovers, Record Store Day is always a date which is marked in their diary. Since it’s introduction in 2008, it’s been the moment to pick up limited runs of records that are long out of print, exclusive and rare, previously unreleased material, special editions or music that was originally only released digitally and is getting its first vinyl release.

Many RSD releases have become highly collectible - some fetching eye-watering figures on the secondhand market. There are only six example of the Boards of Canada’s 2013 single-sided 12″ which last sold four years ago for $2,500.

Taylor Swift has participated in Record Store Day several years running and her releases are always among the most sought-after. Copies of her Reputation album, which came out on a limited run of 3,000 translucent orange vinyl for RSD 2017 now command prices of over $1,700.

This year, Taylor has a new release exclusively for RSD - a 7″ 45rpm single of Fortnight featuring Post Malone, the opening track from the Grammy-nominated Album of the Year, The Tortured Poets Department, pressed on white vinyl with picture cover. On the flip, you’ll get the BLOND:ISH Remix - previously only available as a digital download.

Recently reformed supergroup Oasis will also feature on this year’s RSD. The group will be releasing their 2010 compilation Time Flies as a 4 x LP set on colored vinyl, numbered and limited to 15,000 copies worldwide. The set features the band’s entire singles collection from 1994-2009 (Supersonic, Roll With It, Live Forever, Wonderwall, Cigarettes & Alcohol... etc) all of which have been remastered.

Guitarist Noel Gallagher, who was an RSD ambassador in 2021, said: “Record shops were really important when I was growing up. It’s something that’s in my DNA. I think if we can keep record shops open for as long as possible, we owe it to the young people of this country”.

This year’s RSD 2025 which is on Saturday 12 April, will also feature special edition vinyls from Charli XCX & Billie Eilish, Cypress Hill, David Bowie, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, John Legend... all genres covered, there’s something for everyone. Check the complete list here:
