These ‘Temptation Island’ couples are not together anymore: “I’ve run into her at Costco, and we don’t say anything to each other”
We take a look at how each of the four couples fared in the latest season of ‘Temptation Island’, which is now on Netflix.
In the new season of Temptation Island, a reality-TV show that tests the bond between romantic partners whose relationships have entered make-or-break territory, couples were indeed made, it appears. True to the reality genre, though, couples were also comprehensively, irretrievably broken.
How can I watch the new season of Temptation Island?
A series that had previously aired on Fox and USA Network in the U.S., Temptation Island made its debut on Netflix when season nine dropped on March 12, 2025. As tends to be the case on the streaming platform, all 10 episodes were released in one big, binge-friendly content dump.
“Emotions run high when four couples, each at a crossroads in their relationship, head to Temptation Island to put their love to the ultimate test as they agree to live separately with a group of singles of the opposite sex,” Netflix says in its synopsis of the show.
“Will the choices they make push the couples closer together or farther apart into the arms of a new lover?”

So, what became of the four Temptation Island couples who appeared in season nine?
Couple No. 1: Shanté, 29, and Brion, 26
Why Shanté and Brion went on Temptation Island:
Shanté and Brion had been together for a year before filming, but were out to get past an early breach of trust: not long after becoming an item, Brion had had a thing with another woman. “Shanté has struggled to feel confident and believe Brion can resist the lure of other women,” Netflix said.
Are Shanté and Brion still together after Temptation Island?
Yes. Somehow. Brion did, as Shanté feared, succumb to temptation, joining singles Alex and Courtney for a steamy session in the shower. Yet he and Shanté have remained a couple since the show wrapped, having had some frank - and, let’s face it, miraculously fruitful - conversations about their future.
“I definitely regret doing a threesome,” Brion told Netflix’s Tudum website, adding that he feels “terrible”. “No one slept in my bed. I wasn’t holding hands and making out with people every day. I fucked up one night.”
Having apparently accepted that frankly risible defense, Shanté seems to believe her boyfriend’s three-way was, in fact, just the ticket for their relationship in the long run.
“As sad as it is and as annoying as it is, I don’t know that we would’ve had those conversations if that didn’t happen,” she told Tudum. “We could have just been down this bad spiral of not really knowing how each other feels.”
Couple No. 2: Ashley, 28, and Grant, 28
Why Ashley and Grant went on Temptation Island:
Before going on Temptation Island, Ashley and Grant had been dating “on-again, off-again” for about 18 months, Netflix says. As with Brion and Shanté, an indiscretion on Grant’s part had left Ashley dealing with some “major trust issues”, the show runners explained.
Are Ashley and Grant still together after Temptation Island?
No. After filming ended, Grant began dating Natalie, one of the singles he was introduced to on the show. Ashley met someone on the island, too: she left with Danny. But “it just fizzled out”, Ashley told Tudum.
She then briefly got back together with Grant - who, in the process, was being a shade duplicitous, according to Ashley. “He cheated on Natalie with me,” she says.
“I will give him credit. He did everything he could to try to fix it. But there just really wasn’t any coming back from everything that happened. I just couldn’t let it go, and I was never going to believe or trust that he really was going to change.”
Couple No. 3: Alexa, 28, and Lino, 28
Why Alexa and Lino went on Temptation Island:
“Three years in, Alexa and Lino want to be ‘100% confident’ in their connection before settling down for good,” Netflix said at the start of the season.
Are Alexa and Lino still together after Temptation Island?
Yes! Not only that, but they’re engaged, and describe their relationship as “indestructible”.
“Alexa and Lino’s time on Temptation Island proved that getaways bring them closer together,” Tudum explains. “The happy couple is planning their dream destination wedding in Sorrento, Italy, for the fall of next year.”
Couple No. 4: Tayler, 30, and Tyler, 27
Why Tayler and Tyler went on Temptation Island:
The pair got together straight after Tyler had come out of a years-long marriage, depriving the poor chap of the chance to play the field. This “made him the perfect candidate” for Temptation Island, the show makers say.
“I want my partner to use this experience as a way to find himself and from that place of self-discovery, confidently choose me as his partner,” Tayler told Netflix before the season started.
Are Tayler and Tyler still together after Temptation Island?
Nope. Not even on speaking terms.
Tyler left the island with one of the singles he met - Kay - but is now an item with someone else. A couple of months after Temptation Island, Tayler and Tyler spoke on the phone to discuss a potential reconciliation; however, the rapprochement failed to materialize.
“It was hard to navigate,” Tyler told Tudum. “We haven’t talked since that phone call. I’ve run into her at Costco, and we don’t say anything to each other.”
Tayler, who appears to be more than a little cheesed off with her ex at this point, says she has “never looked back” since they cut of communication with each other.
