The tributes are pouring in for Lance Reddick, who passed away suddenly at the age of 60 on Friday.

Reddick was found in his Studio City home in Los Angeles on Friday morning at around 9:30 a.m. His representative later confirmed that he died of natural causes.

Known for his roles in ‘The Wire’, ‘Lost’, ‘Fringe’ and ‘Bosch’, Reddick was currently in the middle of promoting ‘John Wick: Chapter 4′, which hits theaters on March 24.

The movie’s official Twitter account paid tribute to Reddick, writing: “A kindhearted soul, a wonderful human, and a true friend. Be seeing you, Lance Reddick.”

Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski shared a statement, which read: “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick.

“He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.”

Tributes pour in for Lance Reddick

Given the many projects Reddick has appeared in throughout his career, it’s no surprise there has been an outpouring of love for the star.

David Simon, who was the creator, executive producer, head writer and show runner for ‘The Wire’ from 2002 to 2008, said he was gutted to hear the news of Reddick’s passing.

“Consummate professional, devoted collaborator, lovely and gentle man, loyal friend. Could go on, but no, I can’t go on. This is gutting. And way, way, way too soon,” Simon wrote on Twitter.

Kirk Acevedo, who worked with Reddick on ‘Oz’ and ‘Fringe’, said Reddick will be terribly missed.

“I’ve worked with Lance on OZ and then on Fringe,” Acevedo tweeted. “Too many stories and good times with Lance. You’ll be terribly missed. Jesus he was taken way too soon. Rest easy my friend.”

Wendell Pierce, who played Detective Bunk Moreland on ‘The Wire’, said that Reddick’s unexpected passing leaves a “sharp, painful grief.”

“A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class. An [sic] sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP,” he wrote.
