Following her exit from Epic Records in 2022 after the release of her third album, ‘Familia’, Camila Cabello moved to to Universal Music Group’s Interscope Records with her first long-player on the new label set to see the light of day on 28 June.

This will be Cabello’s fourth studio album in her career and follows 2018′s debut ‘Camilla’ (which spawned the global hit ‘Havana’), the 2018 follow-up ‘Romance’ and her final recording as part of her previous deal with ‘Familla’ getting a 2022 release.

The new album has been preceded by the release of two singles “I Luv It” featuring Playboi Carti, and “He Knows” featuring Lil Nas X with a distinct urban shift musically for the Cuban born singer.

Speaking to Apple Music, the 29-year-old, acknowledged a sonic departure from her previous works, crediting producers Canary Islander Pablo “El Guincho” Díaz-Reixa and Jasper Harris with this departure into a more rugged sound.

She added: “I do feel like I’m a weirdo, and that’s the music that I love, and that’s the music that I feel the most proud of making. I think a lot of times it comes to finding people that are weirdos too, and Jasper’s a weirdo, Guincho’s a weirdo”.

As per the recently released album trailer, the record also seems to be a homage to her hometown of Miami.

She lists her favorite things about the city, which she lovingly calls a “Caribbean Tokyo”: skyscrapers, broken English, and the sun. “They always said the city would be underwater by now. Then again, that’s what they said about her,” she adds in her voiceover. “I guess they both learned how to swim.”

C, XOXO: formats and tracklisting

At present, both singles are the only two tracks confirmed from what we know will be a 14 track album with C,XOXO set to be released as a standard CD for at with a series of limited edition coloured vinyl formats available in pink and blue.
