The iconic film festival in Cannes, France, has released its feature films, with the spotlight on Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese.

The 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival has released its official selection of films, which features new work from revered directors such as Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Catherine Breillat, Wim Wenders, Kore-eda Hirokazu, and Todd Haynes.

However, not all films featured at the Cannes Film Festival made it into the competition, which contains several separate contests.

Filmmakers who have been selected will compete in the Palme d’Or, which is the film fest’s greatest award, and will be played on the legendary theater, the Croisette.

The other categories are In Competition, Un Certain Regard, Out of Competition, Midnight Screenings, Cannes Premiere, and Special Screenings.
