Update:

Teri Hatcher has been keeping herself busy these days launching the Desperately Devoted podcast this past September. The show is “a love letter to fans” of the hit TV series ‘Desperate Housewives’ in which she played Susan Mayer.

She, along with her daughter Emerson Tenney and actress Andrea Bowen, who played her on-camera daughter in ‘Desperate Housewives’, take a look back at the iconic series. As well, the trio use the topics that come up in the TV series like relationships, parenting, and identity as the springboard for contemporary conversations about them.

While ‘Desperate Housewives’ is still captivating audiences over two decades since it first came out, the podcast also serves as a way to welcome a new generation to ‘Wisteria Lane’, a reimagination of the series that ran for eight seasons, which is expected to come out perhaps in 2026 on Hulu.

What Teri Hatcher has been up to these past years

Hatcher hasn’t sat on her laurels since 'Desperate Housewives’ had its final season in 2012, appearing in numerous movies and TV series. Most recently she played Ruth Finley in the 2024 Lifetime TV movie ‘The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story’ and was the voice of Muthr in Apple TV’s animated series ‘WondLa’.

The actress, who became a household name for her role as Lois Lane on the 90s TV series ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’, turned sixty last December. She’s taking it in stride though sharing with ‘The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show’ in October that “When I look in the mirror and I think [about] what is lacking, what am I still struggling with, what would I like to be better at...how can I find peace...my answer is not a facelift.”

Instead she tells herself that it is internal, intellectual, and emotional work which is the answer. That said, she added while she doesn’t see plastic surgery as the answer, she’d “probably” get a nip and tuck if she felt it was needed. “I have no judgement about it, but I know what I’m searching for,” Hatcher said.

“Being a woman is hard...aging is hard,” she explained. However, she also said that she doesn’t like it when people aren’t honest about having cosmetic work done. “I respect your privacy, but the only reason is when you’re famous and you lie, you’re sort of making the rest of us feel bad about ourselves,” Hatcher said.
