AND JUST LIKE THAT
Where is And Just Like That streaming in US? Where to watch Sex and the City sequel
All the information you need if you want to watch season two of And Just Like That, the sequel to HBO’s hit series Sex and the City.
The second season of And Just Like That, HBO’s sequel to the hugely popular series Sex and the City, premiered on Thursday 22 June.
Best friends Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) return for the next instalment of a show whose first season, which dropped in 2021, did not attract enthusiastic reviews. Indeed, TIME’s Judy Bergman described And Just Like That’s somewhat snooze-inducing season one as “dead on arrival”.
And Just Like That season two: synopsis
In season two, a year has now passed since the sudden death of Carrie’s husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Carrie continues to grieve his loss, but is also back on New York’s dating market.
Meanwhile, Miranda is dealing with her divorce from Steve (David Eigenberg) and, having moved to Los Angeles with her new partner, Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), is adjusting to life on the west coast. Back in the Big Apple, Charlotte and husband Harry (Evan Handler) are faced by the challenges of bringing up teenagers.
As you may well have heard by now, there’s also a cameo appearance by Samantha Jones (Kim Catrall), the fourth member of Sex and the City’s core friendship group. Amid a reported feud with Parker, Catrall notably declined to participate in And Just Like That’s opening season.

How has And Just Like That season two been received?
Once again, And Just Like That has left many critics unimpressed. Writing in the Times, Carol Midgley describes season two as “just as smug, irritating and brimming with the first-world problems of spoilt, rich, whiney clothes horses as we’ve come to expect.”
The Atlantic’s Sophie Gilbert dismisses the show as “uncanny and lifeless”, while CNN’s Brian Lowry says it is “awkward, unconvincing and only sporadically funny”, and “remains a kind of streaming Frankenstein, stitched together from a jumbled assortment of parts”.
Although there are some slightly more positive reviews, they generally damn And Just Like That with the faintness of their praise. Vanity Fair’s Richard Lawson says it is a “more than pleasant sit” and is “finding its footing”, while the New York Post’s Lauren Sarner, who stresses that the show is “still no classic”, declares: “There’s now a lot more to like [than in season one] - or at least tolerate.”
Decider’s Liz Kocan concludes: “The show is made for Sex and the City loyalists who love the show enough that they’ll endure a less-satisfying version of it.”
