One of the bands that has also reached a broader base of listeners is Fuerza Regida, a regional Mexican music group whose members are from California. The band averages more than twenty-three million monthly listeners on Spotify. The group will release a new single with Shakira, called ‘El Jefe,” on Wednesday, 20 September.
After her performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs, the Colombian artist announced the launch of her new single with Fuerza Regida, the first time the Barranquilla-born artist will venture into the regional Mexican genre.
Who are Fuerza Regido?
The group, made up of Jesús Ortiz Paz, Samuel Jaimez, José García, Moises López, and Khrytian Ramos, began got their start in the music industry performing covers at local parties or weddings in San Bernardino, California.
In 2017, the group began uploading original singles to their YouTube channel, and thereafter they began to build a loyal base of fans. In 2018, they released the single ‘Radicamos en South Central’, which became their first viral single and led to success on both social networks and digital platforms.
The group has released a total of seven albums: ‘En Vivo Puros Corridos’ (2018), ‘Del Barrio Hasta Aquí’ (2019), Adicto’ (2020), ‘Otro Pedo, Otro Mundo’ (2020), ‘Del Barrio Hasta Aquí, Vol. 2′ (2021), ‘Pa Que Hablen’ (2022), and ‘Sigan Hablando’ (2022), which have been a complete success and well received by their fans.
