Who are the top 3 of American Idol? Remaining finalists for the season finale
“American Idol” 2024 is down to just three hopefuls gunning for the Season 22 trophy after two contestants were eliminated during Sunday night’s episode.
Sunday’s Disney Night on American Idol saw the remaining five contestants make the journey to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida with their mothers as part of a Disney-Mother’s Day special.
The contestants: Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper and Will Moseley performed two songs from Disney, Pixar and Marvel as in the studio Katy Perry (on the judging panel) pulled out all the Disney stops with full Cinderella costume.
Sunday’s eliminations
Both Triston Harper and Emmy Russell were eliminated from the show following the the Disney themed night episode of “American Idol” 2024.
Harper sang “Almost There” from “The Princess and the Frog” and “Life Is a Highway” from “Cars” while Russell went with “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “Carried Me with You” from “Onward.”
Carter, Blocker, and Moseley all advance to Sunday’s final which is set to be a three-hour extravaganza with Jon Bon Jovi set to be the special guest on the judging panel.
The show will also feature musical contributions from Nick Fradiani, New Kids On The Block, Jason Mraz, Hootie And The Blowfish, Cece Winans, James Bay, Wyonna Judd, Seal, Bishop Briggs and Cody Johnson with the show airing at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT on ABC.
