Shakira is appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, March 25, to support her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry), her twelfth studio album. You can tune in from 11.35 ET on NBC.

Will Shakira be playing on the Tonight Show?

What we do know is that Shakira will be playing live in the studio either before or after chatting to Jimmy, what we don’t know is what song(s) she’ll be playing. NBC are coyly only saying we’ll have to tune in to find out what the Colombian singer-songwriter is singing.

What might Shakira play? One definite option is Puntería, the opening track on the new album and a collaboration with Cardi B (who has previously co-hosted the Tonight Show).

Has Shakira been on The Tonight Show before?

This will be Shakira’s fourth appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show. She appeared in the first season, 2014, and was back in 2021 and again in 2023.

Where does the title of Shakira’s new album come from?

The title of Shakira’s new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, is a lyric direct from the Bzrp Music Sessions, Vo. 53, which is directly aimed at her former partner Gerard Piqué. “Las mujeres ya no lloran, las mujeres facturan” she sings, meaning “women no longer cry, women cash in”.

After her split from Gerard Piqué, Shakira moved with her children to Miami, where they now live.
