2022 Midterm Elections | Races to follow: Ron DeSantis wins re-elections in Florida’s governor race
Voters in Florida have made their voices heard. Here’s the latest on the races for governor, senate, and house down in the Sunshine state.
Polls in Florida closed at 7 p.m. ET and the first batch of results have just been released. As with all states, the results will be released in a series of announcements as ballot information from many local authorities begins rolling in.
The early signs look good for the Republicans, with incumbents Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio winning their races comfortably.

Governor
Incumbent Ron DeSantis (R) faced Democrat and former Florida governor Charlie Crist in the Sunshine state. After a long-fought and expensive campaign, it has been confirmed that DeSantis will return to Tallahassee for a second term. The question now becomes... will he run for president in 2024.

Senate
For Senate, Marco Rubio, seeking his third term, squared off against Congresswomen Val Demings. Rubio’s race has also been called in his favor.

House
Thanks to the 2020 Census, Florida gained an additional seat in the House of Representatives. With twenty-eight seats up for grabs, we take a look at the makeup of the delegation that will be sent to Washington DC.
