Presenting duties will be shared between Michael B. Jordan, Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johson and many more big names.

Last month it was confirmed that Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the Oscars for a third time next week. The talk show host previously presided over the 2017 and 2018 editions and joked that he was unsure if being invited back represented “a great honor or a trap”.

“Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no,” he added.

But Kimmel will be sharing the stage with a whole host of big name presenters who will announce the winners throughout the evening.

The presenters for the 2023 Academy Awards ceremony are Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Jennifer Connelly, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael B. Jordan, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Troy Kotsur, Jonathan Majors, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monae, Deepika Padukone, Questlove, Zoe Saldana and Donnie Yen.

Note that the Academy describes this list as the “first slate” of presenters, meaning that more names could be added to the list before the ceremony on Sunday, 12 March.

Who will perform at the 2023 Oscars?

The award for Best Song at the 95th Academy Awards is expected to be one of the most hotly-contested categories, with a number of big stars contributing tracks to movies in the past year. For those watching along, or even lucky enough to be in attendance in Hollywood, some of those names will be performing live on Sunday evening.

Superbowl Halftime Show star Rihanna is in the running for Best Song and will perform ‘Life Me Up’ from the movie ‘Black Oanther: Wakanda Forever.’

Sofia Carson and Diane Warren will take to the stage to perform their track ‘Applause’ from ‘Tell It Like a Woman,’ another Oscars nominee. Warren penned the song and it marks the 14th time that the 66-year-old has been nominated in the category.

Another nominee comes from the hotly-tipped ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once,’ which is nomination in nine different categories. On Sunday David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu and Son Lux will perform ‘This Is a Life.’

But despite all the big names in the Best Song category, many Oscars experts are tipping Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaprevious to pick up the award for ‘Naatu Naatu.’ The song features in ‘RRR’ and the duo will take to the stage for a live performance at the Oscars.
