ALDI is giving away $500 gift cards to Florida customers – but there’s a catch
The grocery chain is expanding fast across the US. Here’s how to be in with a chance to win.
ALDI has become one of the most popular and affordable grocery chains in the United States, with more than 2,400 stores spread across 38 states.
Thanks to its growing popularity across the country, the German-born retailer is set for major expansion this year, with plans to open 225 new locations nationwide – including 20 in Florida alone.
“This marks the largest number of store openings in a single year in ALDI’s nearly 50-year history in the U.S., as more shoppers than ever look to save up to 36% on their average grocery bill,” the company announced in a statement earlier this year.
To celebrate the launch of its 20 new stores in Florida, ALDI is giving away $500 gift cards – but there’s a catch.
What is the ALDI $500 gift card condition?
To get your hands on one of these gift cards, you’ll need to be among the first 100 customers through the doors of one of the new Florida stores, which are set to open this July. To keep things fair, employees will be handing out numbered tickets at the start of the day.

If you don’t make it into the first 100, there’s still a chance to snag some freebies. Customers can expect reusable bags, select free food items, and the opportunity to enter a second $500 gift card giveaway. To participate, simply scan the QR code in-store and fill out the form. This second giveaway runs only from July 10 to July 13.
