In the world of nutrition, there is no truly “magic” ingredient or product. However, some foods, because of their properties and nutrients, can be especially helpful in supporting certain natural processes that take place inside the body.

One of these processes is digestion and, ultimately, intestinal transit. When a diet is balanced and appropriate, digestion usually proceeds without issues. However, when eating habits are not ideal, discomfort can arise and become a real problem for those affected.

In this context, Andrea Valls, a microbiome expert and social media educator, shared a TikTok video highlighting a product that, according to her, can help with bowel movements, improve digestion, and reduce bloating. “And the worst part is that nobody uses it,” she adds.

She then reveals that she is referring to psyllium. “What it does in your body is absorb water, expand, and form a soft gel that helps when you go to the bathroom because it creates more formed stools and helps move them along, producing a gentle cleansing effect,” she explains.

That is not all. Referring to its “prebiotic effect,” Valls emphasizes psyllium’s ability to “feed good bacteria.” “You can take it in water, in yogurt, or use it in recipes as a thickener, creating a texture similar to gluten if you are preparing gluten-free dishes.” She ends with a brief reminder to her followers: “Just make sure to drink plenty of water.”

Grateful viewers

The video, which has racked up tens of thousands of views, more than ten thousand likes, and around seventy comments, has drawn significant interest. Many users did not hesitate to thank Andrea Valls for sharing the information.

“I’ve found my solution,” “I had no idea, thank you so much,” “I’d need recipes to use it, I don’t like it in water… thanks,” “It saved me, I can confirm it works,” and “You’re the best, thank you so much” are just a few of the many reactions seen in the post.
