Applebee’s Date Night Pass is back for a second time: How and when to purchase the one-time subscription

Fans of Applebee’s are getting a second chance to snag neighborhood grill and bar’s Date Night Pass valid for $30 in purchases per week for a full year.

Applebee’s is looking to “spread more love this Valentine’s Day” by giving customers a second chance to snag a Date Night Pass. The neighborhood grill and bar launched the promotion for the first time last month but many missed out on it due to overwhelming demand. That’s not surprising considering the incredible nearly eightfold value that customers get for ponying up the $200 one-time subscription fee.

Within 60 seconds of the offer going live on the company website on 22 January it was sold out leaving scores of angry customers that didn’t get a chance to get a Date Night Pass. This time round, instead of queueing for a first come, first serve opportunity to get their hands on one, those interested will sign up for their name to be chosen randomly. However, time is running out.

In order to snag one of the 1,000 Applebee’s Date Night Passes available in the second offering you will have to register on the company’s website for the promotion. Customers have until 9 February to sign up for a chance to have their name picked in the random drawing. The lucky 1,000 will be notified on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14 February, via email.

What do customers get with the Applebee’s Date Night Pass?

Applebee’s Date Night Pass, if used wisely, could add up to big savings for those lucky enough to get their hands on one. For a one-time subscription purchase of $200 cardholders are entitled to $30 worth of free food and non-alcoholic beverages with each use.

Between now and 28 February 2025 for Date Night Passes purchased in the second iteration (Passes purchased in January are valid until 31 January 2025) the cardholders can use them once a week for a total of 52 times. That means that those in possession of one of the cards could get up to $1,560 in free food and drink over the year.

However, if you miss a redemption or use less $30 during a single use there are no rollovers. You also cannot use your Date Night Pass twice within a 24-hour period. Applebee’s will keep you informed as to how many uses you have left each month.

The cards are valid at all of the Applebee’s Grill + Bar locations in the United States with the exception of 16 in eight states listed here. They are not valid in Puerto Rico and US Territories.

“Passes do not include tax, gratuity, alcohol, retail (including gift cards) or fees,” states the company. Nor are they meant to be gift cards or resold, they are non-transferable and non-refundable.
