Bank of America is closing its branches on this day in May: the date you need to know
Across the U.S., Bank of America will temporarily shut its branches late next month: The bank’s walk-in locations are to close on Monday, May 25, to mark the Memorial Day holiday. Branches will resume normal operations on May 26.
In addition to Bank of America, several other major banks in the U.S. will also be closed on May 25, including: Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Chase, Citibank, U.S. Bank, SunTrust Bank, Capital One, Citizens Bank, Santander Bank, BBVA, and Compass.
While most large and small banks will be closed for Memorial Day, online banking services and ATM transactions will remain available.
Customers will still be able to complete most everyday banking tasks. However, it is important to keep in mind that if payments are scheduled on a federal holiday, processing may not begin until the bank reopens on the next business day.
