Confirmed Social Security payment schedule for 2025
The Social Security Administration has shared the official payment schedule for 2025 after the COLA was released. Benefits are sent out on these dates.
The 2025 Social Security payment schedule has been confirmed after the cost-of-living adjustment or COLA was released. The Social Security Administration is preparing to send out next year’s benefits after announcing how much they will increase in 2025.
The government announced that the COLA for next year will be 2.5%. This means that Social Security benefits will increase by that percentage in 2025.
This increase will apply to the millions of payments the agency sends each month, including benefits for retired workers and survivors, meaning the children, spouses, widows, widowers or parents of a deceased beneficiary.
In addition, disability benefits, such as those from the Supplemental Security Income or SSI program and Social Security Disability Insurance or SSDI, will also benefit from this increase. Here is the complete Social Security payment schedule for 2025.

The rest of the Social Security checks (retirees, survivors and SSDI) are sent on Wednesdays, according to the date of birth of the beneficiaries:
If any payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is advanced to the first preceding business day.
