Was Drake home when shooting happened at his Toronto home?
Police are investigating after rapper Drake’s security guard was shot and sent to the hospital with serious injuries outside Drake’s Canada home.
Emergency crews came to Park Lane Circle near Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East in Toronto around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning after a man was shot just outside rapper Drake’s home in The Bridle Path. It was later revealed that the man shot was one of Drake’s security guards.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but paramedics say they are not life-threatening. The police say a suspect fled the scene in a vehicle but no description or further details have been released. They did not say if Drake was at home at the time of the shooting.
Did the shooting at Drake’s home have anything to do with the Kendrick Lamar beef?
Though it’s unknown whether Drake was home at the time of the incident, police say his team is cooperating. Toronto Police Inspector Paul Krawczyk said that they have obtained video of the shooting.
Over the last few weeks, Drake has been involved in a rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, with the two dropping diss tracks on each other. The latest one by Kendrick Lamar accuses Drake of pedophilia. Krawczyk said that it’s too early to know the motive behind the shooting and whether or not it has to do with the beef between the two rappers.
