The stores are known to have extreme discounts thanks to their buying strategy, which consists of finding the best bargains in their sector. Previously called “Only $1.00″ the retail chain rebranded in 1989 to the “Dollar Tree.” Inflation has forced the company to increase prices on some items to $1.25 or $1.50, but the company is growing again after some difficult post-pandemic years and is looking to hire employees in New York and surrounding areas as well as in other parts of the country.
Minimum requirements for Sales Floor Associates
High school degrees are not required for this position at Dollar Tree and applicants will be considered for the job if they have general math skills and strong verbal communication capabilities in order to help customers. Applicants must be honest and responsible for handling cash.
Main responsibilities for Sales Floor Associates
Dollar Tree employees who work as Sales Floor Associates will be expected to handle sales transactions, keep cash secure, protect company assets and provide good customer service. Other duties are required and can be found on the Dollar Tree website. The job consists of assisting in merchandising the store, assisting with cash register operations and assisting with complete operations of the store.
Salaries for Family Tree Sales Floor Associates
Hourly wages for this position range from $16 to $16.50/hour at New York stores. Higher qualified applicants can be eligible to apply for Assistant Store Manager positions which offer $18 to $18.50/hour wages at stores in New York.
