Update:

He may be the richest man on the planet, admired for his brilliant mind, vision and entrepreneurial skills but there is one facet of Elon Musk’s life where he falls short - at least according to his own father.

The 53-year-old tech billionaire is a father to 13 children but according to his father Errol, he relies too much on outside help to raise them.

Errol, a guest on the ‘Wide Awake’ podcast this week, was asked whether he thought his son made a good Dad. “No, he hasn’t been a good Dad, was his reply. ”The first child was too much with nannies - and died in the care of a nanny. Now what I’m saying, if Elon hears this he’s going to shoot me or something, but anyway, that’s what I think - that’s no good, they were too rich, too many nannies”.

How many children does Elon Musk have?

Elon has fathered 13 children with four different women, becoming a father for the first time in 2002 when his ex-wife, Justine Wilson gave birth to Nevada Alexander. Sadly the baby died at 10 weeks old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

The couple had five children together: twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, before separating in 2008.

After a childless marriage to actress Talulah Riley broke down, Musk started a relationship with the singer Grimes. They welcomed their first child together, named X Æ A-12 in 2020. Since then there have been a couple of new arrivals - a girl, Exa Dark Sideræl, and a boy, Techno Mechanicus.

Elon also secretly fathered twins, Strider and Azure, with Shivon Zilis in November 2021, according to Business Insider.
