Honda recalls 300,000 vehicles over faulty seat belts: list of car models affected
A defective part means a huge recall in what has been a constant problem for the Japanese car company this year.
Honda is recalling some 300,000 cars in the US due to faulty seatbelts. Some front seat belts in 2023-2024 Accords and HR-Vs are known to be affected,
The problem comes from a defective rivet that prevents occupants from jerking forwards in a crash. No deaths or injuries have as yet been reported.
The company is dealing with another quarter of a million recalled vehicles from just last week due to an error that may cause engine damage.
In total Honda has been dealing with 16 car recalls this year, though this is lower than other competitors in the US.
