How many times has Hunter Biden been married?
Hunter Biden has been married on two occasions. His first wife, Kathleen Anne Buhle, is a writer who was married to the President’s son from 1993 all the way to 2017.
It was back in 1992 when Buhle was a lobbyist and investment manager when she met Hunter Biden. The relationship between the two took off and they quickly married in July 1993. Naomi King Biden, their first daughter together, was born on December 21, 1993.
On September 9, 2000, she gave birth to their second daughter, Finnegan James Biden, and in 2001 the couple welcomed their third daughter, Roberta Mabel “Maisy” Biden.
However, in 2017, citing “irreconcilable differences,” Kathleen Biden filed for divorce from her husband. Her filings spoke of an unhappy relationship between the couple, as well as alleging drug use and infidelity dating to at least 2015.
The news of Biden’s infidelity was acknowledged by the culprit, with the son of the future President telling Page Six that “Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that’s been obvious to the people who love us most. We’ve been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way.”
By ‘Hallie’, Biden meant Hallie Olivere, the widow of Hunter’s brother, Beau, who died of brain cancer. The news of this relationship caused a stir in the media, and the couple eventually split.
Shortly after the breakup, Hunter met Melissa Batya Cohen, whom he married in 2011. The relationship blossomed extremely quickly as she allegedly helped him with his substance abuse. The pair married after a matter of days together and have been inseparable since, with Cohen present at his trial.
