According to those sources, as part of the deal, Skydance, a production company behind some of Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible’, will reportedly pay $1.75 billion for National Amusements. Paramount shares rose in after hours trading 9%.
It’s believed that the agreement includes a 45-day period in which National Amusements and Paramount can shop around for another offer. Three weeks ago Shari Redstone suddenly ended merger talks with Skydance after months of back-and-forth talks.
