James Earl Jones, famous for voicing Darth Vader in “Star Wars” and Mufasa in “The Lion King,” has died at the age of 93, his agent Barry McPherson confirmed. The actor spent his final moments at his residence in Dutchess County, New York.

James Earl Jones, voice of ‘Darth Vader’ and ‘Mufasa’, dies at 93. What was the cause of death?

Jones, who had long suffered from diabetes, was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. No cause of death has yet been announced.

The actor, known for his booming, resonant voice, had a distinguished career in film, television, and theater.

Aside from being one of the most recognizable voices in the history of entertainment, he was also a multi-awarded artist. Jones received an Academy Honorary Award, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, and a Grammy Award.
