Vice President Kamala Harris is set to participate in a livestream event with Oprah Winfrey today, titled “Unite for America.” This event aims to energize voters in crucial battleground states in the upcoming presidential election.

The livestream will begin at 8 p.m. EDT and can be watched on social media including Instagram and TikTok

“What is essential to me is getting people motivated to vote, and ensuring everyone makes a plan not only for themselves, but for their families and friends,” Winfrey said in a statement.

What will happen on the livestream

The livestream is designed not only to support Harris’s campaign but also to inspire voter turnout among key demographics, particularly Black women, who have historically been a vital part of the Democratic coalition.

The event will feature representatives from various grassroots organizations that have rallied around Harris, including groups like “Cat for Kamala” and “Latinas for Harris.”

This gathering follows recent polling that shows a tight race between Harris and former President Donald Trump, making voter engagement critical as Election Day approaches.
