Will banks and the post office be open on Labor Day?
On September 1, all U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed, and mail pickup and delivery will be suspended. Similarly, banks will also be closed, as they follow the Federal Reserve’s holiday schedule.
While bank branches will not be open, ATMs and mobile banking services will remain available, allowing customers to carry out essential transactions throughout the day. Any services beyond what’s offered through online banking will resume when banks reopen on Tuesday, September 2.
