Update:

Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, Wells Fargo, and more banks will close all their branches in the United States on February 16. The locations will remain closed for 24 hours on this date, as they observe the Washington birthday holiday, also known as Presidents’ Day.

The list of banks that will be closed on Monday, February 16, for the Presidents’ Day holiday includes most financial institutions, such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, U.S. Bank, SunTrust Bank, Morgan Stanley, Truist Bank, PNC Bank, Capital One, Citizens Bank, Santander Bank, and Compass.

Although banks will close all their branches for Presidents’ Day, online banking and ATM transactions will be available. Users can complete various everyday banking tasks using the mobile app or ATM. However, when scheduling payments on a federal holiday, processing may begin once the bank resumes operations on the next business day.

All US banks will also be closed on these 8 additional dates

Banks observe the 11 federal holidays recognized by the Federal Reserve and the U.S. government. Of these 11 holidays, some are observed on specific dates, while others change dates each year. Additionally, if a holiday falls on a weekend, it may be observed a day earlier or later. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on the preceding Friday. Conversely, if a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is observed as a holiday.
