Most doctors recommend getting a flu vaccine: How much is a flu shot without insurance?
Seasonal flu cases are on the rise, with higher than normal activity observed in some regions. Here’s all the information you need on getting the shot.

With the onset of the flu season, experts are recommending that everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated against the influenza A(H3N2) virus should do so - especially as a nasty, new variant is doing the rounds.
Since the start of fall, there has been a rapid increase of A(H3N2) J.2.4.1 alias K subclade viruses detected in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Health authorities in affected countries have not reported any significant changes in the clinical severity of cases linked to this particular strain. However, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has cautioned that flu seasons dominated by the A(H3N2) virus have historically been associated with higher rates of hospitalization and mortality among older adults — even without mutations tied to increased virulence.
All current US flu vaccines are designed to protect against three influenza viruses: A(H1N1), A(H3N2) and B/Victoria lineage virus.
