Estados Unidos Update:

In recent months, President Trump has made statements and social media posts that have led many to question his mental fitness. At 79 years old, his erratic responses and frequent difficulty recalling facts have raised alarm bells.

His most recent social media blow up was a letter sent to the Norway Prime Minister threatening to take over Greenland because he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize. It’s behavior like this, something you would expect from a 6-year-old child, that has people worried about the leader of the free world’s mental health.

In a recent meeting with Oil company executives, the president got up in the middle of the meeting, went to the window, and contemplated what might be some day the ballroom he wants to build.

As pressure mounts over his past ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Trump has worked to shift media and public attention elsewhere. He has been increasingly aggressive with women journalists and continues to insult anyone who asks a question he doesn’t like.

These scandals on social media and at meetings are becoming more and more frequent as the president gets older.

Online commentators have pointed out the contrast in how the media treats Trump’s cognitive missteps compared to those of President Biden. Many express frustration that Biden was widely portrayed as unfit for office, while Trump’s errors often go unchallenged.

However, some voices are pushing back. Many analysts are reminding the American people to not become complacent as it is easy to fall into the trap of just saying to ourselves, “well, it is what it is.”

Other concerning statements from the president

AOC and others have had a good laugh at Trump bragging about passing a cognitive test used to check for dementia. Tim Walz has been very vocal about the White House’s lack of transparency regarding the president’s mental health.

Concerns about possible dementia

Google searches related to cognitive impairment and dementia have increased in recent months. Some media outlets have pointed out that online readers are having difficulty finding articles like this one because of Google blocking such searches.

A lot of the concern has been brought on by Trump himself, who denied taking any kind of test for dementia, but then bragged about the cognitive test he passed. He also let the cat out of the bag when he said he had had an MRI scan at his latest physical examination.

Online pundits have pointed out the severity of Trump’s team hiding the fact that he took an MRI, which is not standard procedure. The fact that he then revealed the secret is what has users on X and other social media concerned about Trump’s mental condition.
