She goes to a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, spends almost $500, and social media explodes over one detail
Edurne shared a TikTok video showing her experience at Lasai. Users were quick to criticize her reactions.

The culinary world is incredibly diverse and complex, bringing together all kinds of concepts and dining establishments, each with its own unique approach to cooking and the ingredients it works with every day. As a result, price differences can be dramatic: while you can eat for just a few dollars in some places, in others you may end up with a bill that reaches into the hundreds, or even the thousands.
Edurne, a food influencer, posted a TikTok video documenting her visit to Lasai, a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
“This is everything you eat at a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. We came to Lasai, and we’re going to see what they have to offer,” she says at the start of the video.

She begins her tasting with a creative take on a hot dog, followed by a roll made with breadstick, a crispy chia bite with goat cheese, and a curd dish with red snapper and watermelon. “It’s kind of like a tartare,” Edurne explains. Next comes a crispy wagyu bite with chestnuts and radish, along with a savory mushroom flan, which she clearly enjoys. “So good, I love mushrooms,” she admits.
Continuing the experience, she tries a reinterpretation of a banana and cheese sandwich. “I really liked this one,” she says. The food influencer then samples a potato salad with crispy pancetta, a cheese and jam bao bun, a dish featuring scarlet prawn, and another made with native pork and vegetables.
After that, it is time for dessert, featuring a persimmon and coconut panna cotta and a mango yogurt. Finally, Edurne reveals the total cost of the experience on screen. “Here’s the bill, guys. This only covers the drinks, and we had already paid for the tasting menu beforehand, around €500 total,” she concludes.
Users react critically
The video, which racked up millions of views, nearly 200,000 likes, and around 900 comments in just a few hours, drew significant attention from viewers. Many of them focused on one particular aspect of Edurne’s visit to Lasai: her reactions to the different dishes.
“Is it just me, or did she not like any of it?”, “I feel like she didn’t enjoy any of the food in Brazil, you can tell,” “I think she’s so used to her own cuisine that she doesn’t really appreciate others,” and “She only liked three things, she had nothing to say about the rest” were just some of the many reactions left under the post.
