The $39,000 prefabricated home that you can buy on Amazon: a YouTuber did it and now regrets it for this reason

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos calls his creation “the everything store” so one YouTuber tried to put that to the test. But there was a slight hitch.

YouTuber misses fine print on $39K prefab home he bought

Prefab homes are nothing new, but they’ve been gaining fame online in recent years through viral social media videos. Especially, tiny homes that one can buy online from retailers like Amazon and have shipped to you.

One YouTuber, Nathan, whose channel is called Unspeakable posted a video online titled ‘I Bought a House on Amazon’. He decided to put Jeff Bezos’ nickname for his creation ‘the everything store’ to the test.

“We’re going to see if it’s possible to fully live your entire life off only Amazon,” he said on the video. That included buying said house for just under $39,000. However, he soon discovered after unpacking and assembling it, that there was a significant hitch that he missed when he didn’t read the fine print.

While one can image that Nathan puts effort into developing content for his Unspeakable platform, he seems to have winged it somewhat when purchasing his 39-grand prefabricated home. He and his colleagues first appear to stumble on to the fact that the house is foldable. However, without apparently reading any directions they make short work of getting it set up.

Then they get to work on the mountains of boxes to stock the new dwelling with “everything possible you need to live,” all of which was also acquired through Amazon. That’s when the first major kink in the armor is discovered.

“I’m trying to find somewhere to plug in the fridge, but there’s no electrical outlets,” he says. “How are we supposed to plug stuff in? How are we supposed to cook food?” Looking back at where he bought the house from he realizes he should’ve read the fine print in the product description before pressing buy.

“It comes with a toilet but it doesn’t come with a plug… What!?” he’s heard shouting off camera as his friend laughs. However, a solution is soon found with the portable generator, which they also bought on Amazon.

Once everything is set up, Nathan takes his viewers for a tour of his new abode, with everything it would seem he needs to live comfortably, including an 80’ TV and gaming system.

A word to the wise though besides just reading the fine print on what features are included. If you are thinking about getting one of these for yourself, it’s advisable to check the zoning laws and any permits that you may need in order to call one of these tiny homes your abode.
