The ‘No Kings’ movement continues to grow: When is the next demonstration is planned to protest the Minneapolis deaths?
Organizers of the ‘No Kings’ movement are expecting the largest turnout yet at its third round of protests which will focus attention on Minneapolis.

The actions of the Trump administration to reshape American democracy, and especially the brutal tactics employed by immigration agents deployed in communities across the country, have incensed people around the country. The continued authoritarian push by the president and his allies has drawn people out onto the streets in ever greater numbers, most visibly during the ‘No Kings’ protests that took place last year.
Organizers had been planning another round for this spring, but the recent killings of two individuals, Renée Good and Alex Pretti, in Minneapolis prompted a refocus for the event on the city, which was overrun with around 3,000 US Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE), and US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents in late December as part of Operation Metro Surge.
‘No Kings’ 3 protest expected to be biggest one yet
The third round of ‘No Kings’ protests will take place on 28 March, and organizers are expecting it to be the biggest one yet. Ezra Levin, the co-founder and co-executive director of Indivisible, speaking to the Associated Press, predicts that up to 9 million people will attend events across the nation.

That’s two million more than the previous protest held in October, which brought together two million more people than the first one in June.
“This is in large part a response to a combination of the heinous attacks on our democracy and communities coming from the regime, and a sense that nobody’s coming to save us,” he told the outlet.
The only way to defend our rights is to exercise them
The refocus of the third ‘No Kings’ protest comes out of a desire to show support for the residents of Minnesota as well as “immigrant communities all over.” At the same time to demonstrate opposition to “the secret police force that is murdering Americans and infringing on their basic constitutional rights,” Levin explained.
“And what we know is, the only way to defend those rights is to exercise them, and you do that in nonviolent but forceful ways,” he added.”That’s what I expect to see in ‘No Kings’ three.”
In an interview with Mother Jones, Levin shared that Indivisible along with other groups like the ACLU had created a training course to teach people how to document violent incidents by ICE and CBP titled ‘Know Your Rights’ in the wake of Pretti’s killing which will be held on 10 February.
The ‘No Kings’ coalition also put out a video earlier this week called ‘Eyes on ICE: Document and Record’, the first in a series to provide people tools to exercise their First Amendment rights “in a moment when federal agents are terrorizing our communities and using excessive force.” Over 200,000 people streamed that training session which is available on YouTube.
