Update:

Nestled in the heart of Wyoming, Lost Springs stands as a striking example of a true small town, housing a mere six residents as of 2020.

This quaint community is part of Converse County, where the population hovers around 13,000. While diminutive in size, the town is not without its charm. It is home to the Lost Bar and a cozy general store that caters to the everyday needs of locals and travelers from the surrounding countryside.

For education, the nearest public secondary school, Douglas High School, is approximately a 30-minute drive away. Once home to a post office, Lost Springs saw the facility closed in 2014.

According to the 2020 U.S. Census, three housing units were occupied by the town’s six residents, all of whom are adults. Wyoming is a very sparsely populated state, and Lost Springs holds the distinction of being its least populated town. Nearly a dozen towns in the Cowboy State have fewer than 100 residents.
