This is how much money Elon Musk’s DOGE has saved taxpayers in Trump’s first 2 months
Musk was placed in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and in the role, he is tasked with cutting costs and increasing efficiency within the federal government.


Fox News anchor Bret Baier interviewed X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk and members of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team on Thursday evening amid their controversial efforts to reduce the size and spending of the federal government.
DOGE claim to be actively working to reduce government spending, and there are discussions about how those savings could be returned to the public. However, the department’s activities are subject to ongoing debate and analysis.
Musk has recommended large scale redundancies at both the IRS and Department of Education amid claims that DOGE has already saved an estimated $130 billion.

Whilst, no doubt that Musk defends his actions, Alex Beene, a financial literacy instructor for the University of Tennessee at Martin, told Newsweek: “While there’s no denying the department is saving the federal government money through its numerous cuts, savings, and layoffs, the current numbers provided may be misleading. We’ve seen reports that some government contracts the department has ended were either mostly or fully paid out, meaning little to no money was actually ‘saved.’
