Russia assured today that it harbors no illusions in relation to the president-elect in the United States, Donald Trump, while predicting greater civil tensions in American society with his return to the White House. “We harbor no illusions in relation to the elected US president, who is well-known in Russia, and to the new composition of the Congress, where, according to preliminary data, the Republicans have prevailed,“ the Russian Foreign Ministry statement notes.
The official note recalls that the political elites in the United States, regardless of their political sign, advocate “anti-Russian” policies and “containment of Moscow”, although the Foreign Ministry assures that it will work with the new Administration as soon as it settles in the White House.

China will seek a balanced relationship with Trump but will not erase its red lines
Beijing "will know how to defend itself‘ with the return of Donald Trump, who after his victory in the US elections could bet on being ’tougher with China” and on intensifying the trade war that he himself started in his first term as president, according to experts consulted by EFE.
In 2018, after coming to power, Trump imposed several rounds of tariffs on Chinese products worth about $370 billion a year, about three-quarters of the Asian giant's exports, to which Beijing responded with retaliation against US exports.

The Iranian government has downplayed Wednesday Donald Trump's victory in the US elections, while the rial fell to historic lows and some celebrated in Tehran the Republican candidate's victory.

Mohajerani assured that “the general policies of the United States and Iran are fixed policies,” in an apparent reference to the decades of tensions between Tehran and Washington, dating back to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The inhabitants of Puerto Rico, who do not vote in the US elections but in a symbolic consultation carried out at the same time as their elections for governor, clearly favored the Democratic candidate and vice president Kamala Harris, to whom they gave 73.46% of the votes.
In the symbolic vote held in Puerto Rico only 26.54% of voters opted for Trump, who in the US as a whole was proclaimed winner on Wednesday after surpassing the 270 electoral votes required, which will return to the White House to become the 47th president of the country.
Harris' victory on the island was to be expected, since Puerto Ricans are mostly Democrats and have suffered numerous slights from Trump.
Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential election and will now holds the keys to arguably the strongest nation in the world once again. Donald Trump’s criminal conviction and possible incarceration has led to questions about his presidential candidacy.
As it turns out, being arrested for or even convicted of a crime does not disqualify a person from running for the highest office in the United States. There is no particular law or constitutional provision that prohibits a convicted or arrested person from being a presidential candidate.
In fact, if he ends up conducting his campaign from within prison walls, he wouldn’t be the first contender to do so.
Four years after departing from the South Lawn aboard the Marine One helicopter, Donald Trump is set to move back into the White House - the iconic residence and workplace of the United States president.
“Hopefully it’s not a long-term goodbye - we will see each other again,” Trump said as he left the White House in January 2021, in the wake of his 2020 election defeat to current president Joe Biden. His prediction has been borne out.
Kamala Harris will not speak to supporters until the morning

We’ve been through so much together, and today you showed up in record numbers to deliver a victory … this was something special. And we’re going to, we’re going to pay you back. We’re going to do the best job … we’re going to turn it around. It’s got to be turned around. It’s got to be turned around fast. And we’re going to turn it around.
