What are Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck’s tour dates? Where can I see them in concert?
Johnny Depp teamed up again with friend Jeff Beck to make a new album ‘18′. After touring in Europe the duo is now on the North American leg of the tour.
It came as a bit of a surprise when Johnny Depp joined Jeff Beck to perform on stage in England just two days after the judge in the dueling libel lawsuits between him and ex-wife Amber Heard had sent the jury to deliberate on the matter. Besides playing back-to-back shows in England, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star played at venues across the old continent through the summer to promote their new album ‘18′.
The “guitarist’s guitarist” and Depp have reunited once again on the stage, this time for a North American tour. The full-length production of mainly cover songs was released in July and contains two songs that the newly liberated Depp wrote himself. They had planned to call the album ‘Kitchen Sink’ according to the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer “because we threw everything in it.”
The collaboration is the second official release between the two after their 2020 cover of John Lennon’s ‘Isolation’ which they performed at Depp’s surprise appearance in Sheffield. The two have been kindred spirits since meeting in 2016.
The current full-length’s title is in reference to the feeling they got playing together, “it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again,” Beck said. The cover illustration, designed and drawn by Beck’s wife Sandra, features of Beck and Depp as 18-year-olds.
Beck hit the road solo on 1 October kicking off the tour’s North American leg at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Depp joined the tour 4 October in Washington DC where the duo played at The Anthem. He’ll play with Beck at all remaining venues on the tour which wraps up in Reno, Nevada 12 November.
